This was the one I had done during the lesson, I like it but I feel I could do a lot better - I shouldn't of brought it too high up the nose as well as too far on the outside of the eye. I also feel like it is slightly too blended if that is possible. I just don't think it is completely believable.
As I was quite unhappy with what I had done I decided that I will redo it when I was back at my flat and that is what I did. I much prefer my out of studio outcome as I feel it looks more believable and natural.
OUT OF STUDIO PRACTICE
CUTS
I enjoyed doing this, although slightly stressful trying to get the wax to stay onto the model. I could of easily improved this by blending the edges at the top and not make the wound so tall. You cant quite see the height of the wound in the image but it was slightly to high to look real. I understand that it is slightly too over the top but for my first attempt I wanted it to be quite drastic.
In regards to both of these technique and my final piece I will most probably not use either of them as this is more for film and TV. However, although I'm not going to use a Black Eye I may possibly use the techniques in creating a bruise to make it suitable to my own personal aims.
